Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Digi Card Pros, the website at digicardpros.com and the digital business card service offered through it (the "Service"). The Service is operated by [Operator name], based in Chennai, India ("we", "us", "our").
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who can use the Service
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live if that is higher.
- You must give accurate sign-up information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under the laws that apply to you.
2. What the Service does
The Service lets you create two digital business cards (Personal and Business), each with its own QR code and link. People who scan your QR code can view your card and save your contact details to their phone.
The Service is currently free. If we ever introduce paid features, we will tell you in advance and you will never be charged without agreeing first.
3. Your content
- You own the content you add to your cards (your name, photo, contact details, links and bio).
- You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process and display that content only as needed to run the Service, for example showing your card to people who scan your QR code and generating link previews.
- You confirm you have the right to publish everything on your cards, including any photo, logo or company name, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
- Your card is visible to anyone who has its link or QR code. Only add information you are happy to share with the people you give it to.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- impersonate another person or organisation, or misrepresent your identity, job title or employer;
- publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or violent;
- link to malware, phishing pages, scams or other harmful content;
- send spam or collect other users' data without their consent;
- try to access accounts or data that aren't yours, probe or disrupt our systems, or get around security or rate limits;
- use automated tools to create accounts or scrape the Service.
5. Organisations
You can join an organisation by entering a code supplied by that organisation. If you do, the organisation's admin can see your name, email address, username, job titles and card status. They cannot edit your cards. You can leave an organisation at any time from your Account page.
6. Suspension and termination
- You can delete your account at any time from your Account page. Deletion is permanent and removes both cards, your photos and QR codes.
- We may suspend or delete accounts that break these Terms, put other people at risk, or are required to be removed by law. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.
- We may change, suspend or discontinue the Service. If we plan to shut it down, we will try to give you at least 30 days' notice so you can export your data.
7. QR codes and card links
Card links are designed to be hard to guess, but once you share a QR code or link, anyone who has it can view the card and pass it on. You can create a new QR code at any time, which makes the old code and link stop working. We are not responsible for how people you share your card with use the information on it.
8. Availability and disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running and secure but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that saving contacts will work on every device or app. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data, business or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Because the Service is free, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to INR 5,000 (or its equivalent in your currency).
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Indemnity
You agree to compensate us for reasonable losses and costs arising from content you publish or from your breach of these Terms, except where the loss is caused by us.
11. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties such as Google (Firebase sign-in and database) and our hosting provider. Links on cards may lead to third-party websites that we do not control and are not responsible for.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is significant, we will notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect. The version you accepted is recorded against your account. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protection of any mandatory laws of your country, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts where the law allows.
Before starting any formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.
14. General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Not enforcing a right straight away does not mean we waive it. You may not transfer your account or these Terms to someone else. We may transfer them as part of a reorganisation or sale of the Service, and we will tell you if that happens.
